Every distillery has moments that confirm all the effort invested in the orchard, the distillery and every bottle was worthwhile. For us, one of those moments arrived today.
We are proud to share the news that MIKO quince brandy won a gold medal at the “Belgrade Winner 2026” competition — one of Serbia's most important brandy competitions. This is also the first major recognition for our White Quince, a brandy conceived from the very beginning as an expression of the fruit's pure character and our dedication to quality.
The Judging Process
This award is especially significant because of the way the judging was conducted. As part of the Belgrade Brandy Fest 2026, a professional five-member panel sensory-evaluated 55 samples of different brandies. One of the biggest innovations was that the samples were purchased directly from the market, instead of being specially prepared and submitted by producers for the competition. That is precisely why this recognition confirms the quality of the product as it truly reaches consumers.
The Medal That Motivates Us
This recognition is especially meaningful to us because it comes only a few months after MIKO brandies entered the market. Behind one bottle of our quince brandy are years of developing the orchard, carefully selecting the fruit, controlled fermentation and precise distillation, all with the same goal from day one — to create a quince brandy that faithfully conveys the essence of the fruit from which it is made.
This gold medal is not the end of a journey, but its beginning. It confirms that we have chosen the right direction and gives us additional motivation to continue raising the standards of premium fruit brandy production.

The first gold for MIKO White Quince will always hold a special place in the history of our distillery.
