Several days have passed since the Kazannova Festival, held on January 24 at the Sheraton Hotel in Novi Sad, yet the impressions are still fresh — this was the first time MIKO quince brandy stood before the public at a festival in Serbia, and it is an edition we will remember for a long time.
The Public's First Encounter with MIKO Brandy
Kazannova is one of the leading brandy festivals in the region — this year, visitors had the opportunity to taste brandies from around thirty renowned producers from Serbia and the surrounding countries, including rare examples aged for up to 20 years. It was precisely in such demanding company that MIKO presented its products to the public for the first time.
It is important to emphasize that although plum brandy absolutely dominates the market, quince brandy itself was well known to festival guests, since it is a category with a long tradition in the region. What was new to visitors was our brandy: the taste and approach it brings, brandies made exclusively by distilling carefully selected fruit from our own orchard, without added aromas or artificial flavors. We believe that nature already provides everything needed to create an outstanding brandy.
The reactions exceeded expectations. Visitors were most often surprised by its elegance, intense fruit aroma and softness.
The Festival Atmosphere
Kazannova brings professionals and brandy lovers together in one place, with tastings, conversations with producers and the opportunity to expand one's knowledge of the distilling craft. For us, as a brand making its first appearance at an event of this kind, it was an opportunity to hear a direct, honest reaction from the public — the kind that does not come from a survey or a review, but from the expression on the face of someone who brings a glass of MIKO brandy to their nose for the first time, and then to their lips.
Many thanks to the organizers for an excellently organized festival, as well as to all the visitors who took the time to stop by our stand, ask questions, share their impressions and raise a glass with us. Encounters like these give us an additional incentive to continue developing what we believe in — premium fruit brandies that begin in the orchard and finish in the glass.
What We Take Forward
The Kazannova Festival was only the first step on our festival journey. New presentations, new acquaintances and new opportunities lie ahead for even more people to discover the story that unfolds among 21,136 quince trees. See you at the next festival — until then, cheers!
